In the 23rd psalm, which is one of the most coveted documents in the English language (to both Christians and Jews), David said that the Lord cared for and guided him just as a shepherd cares for and oversees his sheep.

He said when he lovingly, faithfully attuned to the Lord, and asked for guidance - he always became aware of an inner guiding principle leading and directing him into enriching, profitable situations; he recognized that IT was with him even in the most severe and trying circumstances. (This is the God that all denominations are aware of and pray to—the Holy Spirit, the Heavenly Father, the God that is the Source of all, and the masterful force of life creation.)

His reverence toward and unquestioned belief in IT seemingly directly invoked this guiding, positive life directing force; he had complete faith in IT, and IT naturally, purposefully and continually responded to his compelling faith.

How wonderful, and how accomplished you’d be if, like David, your awareness of God’s Loving Spirit moved you to form a direct connection with this source of ALL power and wisdom! Then, instead of wallowing in perceived ignorance and non-awareness, you too could put a situation up to God’s grace, and then come to be as bountifully blessed through His benevolent and purposeful responsiveness as was David.

Think, really think about it for a moment here. How many times have you found yourself experiencing the following:
A.) “Oh, c’mon - what’s the answer here!”
B.) “What should I do; what should I doooo!”
C.) “Oh no, now what!”
D.) “I can’t figure a way out, maybe it just can’t be done!”
E.) “How am I ever gonna get this done!”
F.) “How am I ever gonna be able to deal with/coordinate/
confront/handle/stay in control of this?”

Now, think here for a second about thoroughly pressing times when you were tense, anxious, fragmented, and angrily nervous  during these times (and these emotional contexts) the more you thought about A-F above, the more seemingly improbable, impossible, and less solvable/manageable each became. In fact, the more you thought from the realm of the preceding A-F negative emotional contexts, the more desperate your situation seemingly became…didn’t it? (YES, IT DID!)

Then, you likely hit a point where you came to say and/or project:
• “Ah, the hell with it.”
• Or, “That’s it; I don’t care any more!”
• Or, “Enough, enough -- I’m out!”
• Or, “Enough, enough -- I’m done!”
• Or, “I don’t know, let me sleep on it; ‘maybe’ something will come up then!”

And, lo and behold, as you took your “hands” off it, the Hand that was always striving to help and guide you in terms of providing you an:
• Answer
• Solution
• Direction
• Possibility
• Avenue to explore
• Path to travel -- came to you, and It’s poignant, compelling message felt like, and was embraced by you, as the right thing to do. And when you implemented Its direction, voila -- you found striking and conclusive success – didn’t you!

My personal interpretation of these phenomena is when you (for whatever reason) take your “hands” off, the Hand of God comes to swiftly, purposefully, and demonstrably rest upon your “shoulder,” and infuse you with the way. Yes -- the way of rightness, direction, rectification, and processional unfoldment into more of life’s goodness, richness, and blessings!

Yes, no matter how big or small the need (your need) - the Intelligent, Purposeful, Loving God of the universe is right on top of your situation - waiting to step in and serve you. You, however, must take the first step, and make the move to recognize and request the Loving Hands’ guidance. Then, like ocean waves continually rolling toward, then breaking upon the shore, IT (the Loving Hands’ guidance) purposefully becomes yours, time after time…

“Ah, that all sounds well and good, but God never looks after, thinks of, cares for, is interested in, or speaks to me,” you might say. Really?

Take another moment here to go ahead and explore your past. And, in a time of great need, or desperation, or intense desire, or survival, see if you’ve ever experienced any of the following:
• A flash came to mind.
• A hunch came to mind.
• You came to cross paths with a certain person who was of direct assistance, who you either never met before, or hadn’t seen in quite some time.
• You came to hear a certain song on the radio numerous times in a day -- a song whose message made you realize/recognize/understand some critical thing enabling you to salvage your situation, and/or make it through.
• You, somehow or another, found yourself thumbing through a book or magazine you really didn’t “plan” on reading, and came upon some specific, targeted personally useful information.
• You received a call from someone you hadn’t heard from for a long time, who either provided you with, or directed you toward, obtaining critical information and resources.
• You had, all of a sudden, a certain feeling to say, do, or be something in a certain way (and you did it and experienced an “unbelievable” result or “turn of experience.”)
• A certain image popped - “from out of nowhere” - into your mind -- a crystal clear, precise image which was the visual portrayal of the answer you were contemplating (and needing)!
• An inner, powerful, all consuming “inner voice” seemingly commanded you to say, or do something (which was exactly what you needed to say or do).
• An inclination flowed through you which you sensed emerged from “deep” within you (which then precisely directed you into necessary targeted actions).
• You clearly “saw” something (an answer, a way, a direction) in a dream, which was still crisp and razor sharp mentally as you woke up and came to full consciousness.
• You just - all of a sudden - came to experience an inner knowing which forged an unswerving sense of purpose - of the right thing to do, how to do it, and the resources you needed to mobilize to achieve the breakthrough you dearly needed.

I guarantee you that, more than likely, you’ve experienced several of the preceding aspects during times of great/intense need and/or desire.

Well:
A.) Just where did they come from?
B.) How did they happen?
C.) What was responsible for it?
D.) How can you account for it being so exacting, so targeted, and so precise?

From my clinical experience as a peak performance hypnotherapist for over 28 years, my answer to A-D is:

It was the Grace, Wisdom, Purpose, and Loving Devotion of God directed toward, into, and through you. It was the voice - and the Hand - of the infinite, powerful, loving Almighty - who is wholly devoted to your positive, richly expansive existence and continuance - coming expressly to your individual aid! (FYI – the preceding12 bullet points are the ways God “talks” to you!)

And recognize, indeed accept here and now, that He always stands ready for you, always wants to help, always immediately and specifically has what you need - always is lovingly, purposefully focused upon, and watching over you - yes -- keeping his watchful, wholly caring eye upon you! And when you call upon Him in faith (and with conviction), confident that He hears and wants to help you, He will answer you, just as purposefully and demonstrably as He has anyone else!

It is therefore your choice now to Tell God what you want. Tell God what you need. Ask God for the answer, the way. He waits lovingly and purposefully to serve you and to justify your value and importance to Him, and His overall plan for you.

Ask in confidence. Ask in complete faith. Ask with a genuine sense of expectation to receive – the way you’d ask your earthly father to help you with a need. Yes – ASK, my dear friend…and the Loving God of the universe will respond - to you!

“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:” (Psalm 91:15)

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
